Mr. James Lo joined DBS in 2011. He heads up the Institutional Treasury Management within the Institutional Banking Group at DBS Bank, Hong Kong Branch. With 20 years’ experience in the banking industry, he focuses primarily on corporate wealth management for non-bank financial institute (NBFI), paytech/fintech/tech startups and cash rich corporates.


Nathan Chow
Executive Director, Senior Economist, Group Research, DBS Bank (Hong Kong)

Mr Nathan Chow is DBS Bank’s Executive Director and Senior Economist and he joined us in May 2011.
Mr Chow is responsible for monitoring the market development of offshore RMB businesses and the macroeconomic conditions in Greater China. He conducts economic/ investment seminars on a regular basis for the public and internal staff across Asia, spanning from Singapore, Hong Kong, Taipei to Shanghai and Beijing. Mr Chow also provides training for internal staff with an aim to support sales programmes. As a guest speaker, he delivers lectures for postgraduates on MBA courses at the University of Hong Kong and the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
Prior to joining DBS Bank, Mr Chow had stayed with China International Capital Corporation Limited, China Investment Corporation and Hong Kong Monetary Authority as economist and analyst. Mr Chow’s expertise focuses on macroeconomics and financial market research.
Mr Chow speaks regularly to the electronic media such as Bloomberg, Thomson Reuters, Wall Street Journal, TVB, NowTV, and Cable TV and various print media, like Financial Times, Fortune, Asiamoney, and China Daily providing his professional insights on finance and economics. Mr Chow also speaks on economic forums and conferences, such as those convened by Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing, Treasury Markets Association, and Hong Kong Institute of Bankers.
Mr Chow holds a Bachelor and a Master degree in Economics from Simon Fraser University.


Agnes Chen

Agnes is the Regional Managing Director of APAC for CSC and also the Country Managing Director of CSC. In December 2022, CSC have acquired Intertrust, and Intertrust is now part of the CSC group.
Agnes has over 16 years of operational and executive management experience in the Banking, Trust, Wealth Management Planning/Structuring, Compliance and Fund Administration services sector. She has acted as Board of Director, Board Advisory Member, non-executive Director and Council on client structure management, investments, operational entities, listed companies as well as licensed asset management, Trust Companies and fund management entities.
Agnes majored in Finance, a qualified Trust Estate Practitioner under the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioner (STEP) and a qualified Practitioner in International Compliance and Anti-Money Laundering by Central Law Training UK.
Agnes has also in her own capacity attained LinkedIn 2018 Power Profiles of the Year, Hong Kong region. Agnes has also been invited in judging panels and attained many professional awards and portfolios.

Naoko Hasegawa is Head of Japan Data & Research Management at Preqin Tokyo, responsible for Japan-based Alternative investment players’ data. Prior to Preqin, Naoko had 10+ years experiences at global banks such as MUFG and Lloyds bank, where she engaged in Financial Institutions sales, Project Finance Credit and Research. She has been always passionate about bridging Japanese investors and Global financial market.
Naoko holds a Bachelor in Economics in the University of Tokyo and Master in Business Administration (MBA) in INSEAD.

三菱UFJ銀行、英Lloyds銀行シンガポール支店など国内外の金融機関にて約10年間、金融法人営業や審査・リサーチ業務に携わる。2022年8月より現職、国内投資家とグローバル市場をつなぐ一助になることを目指している。

Mr. Reijiro Samura serves as the President and CEO at Alternative Investment Capital Limited, since April, 2017. He served as the Chief Investment Officer at the firm since November 2016. Prior to that, he served as the Director at Mizuho Global Alternative Investments from 2013 through 2016. Also he served as the Managing Partner and Head of Secondary Investment Group at Tokyo based private equity firm, Ant Capital Partners Co., Ltd. From 2005 through 2013. Previously, he was the Head of Alternative Investments at the Mitsubishi Trust and Banking Corporation beginning in 1990His previous experiences also included corporate finance, aircraft finance, and import finance at the Export-Import Bank of Japan. He holds a B.S. in Economics from the Osaka University in Japan.

Yucheng Fan
Partner Hong Kong, Harneys

Yucheng Fan is a partner in our Investment Funds group based in our Hong Kong office. He specialises in British Virgin Islands and Cayman Islands fund matters, advising on the structure, formation, launch, and maintenance of all types of funds, including private equity funds, venture capital funds, hedge funds, and fund of funds utilizing corporate (stand-alone and SPC), partnership as well unit trust structures.

Yucheng also covers transactions related to Web 3.0 space (digital assets, cryptocurrencies and blockchain), representing fund managers, investors and start-ups, including how offshore BVI and Cayman entities play a role when funds and fintech start-ups raise funds via methods such as Crypto funds, Web 3.0 funds, decentralised finance (DeFi), decentralised autonomous organisation (DAO) and simple agreement for future tokens (SAFT).

Yucheng is one of the only offshore lawyers with a Japanese attorney qualification (Bengoshi), practising British Virgin Islands and Cayman Islands law. His fluency in the Japanese language, familiarity with both Japanese general and business culture, as well as a legal career at both leading Japanese onshore and Cayman-headquartered offshore law firms, helps to differentiate his practice and offering in the market.

Yucheng frequently speaks at market leading events on topics related to funds and Web 3.0 space.

Prior to joining Harneys, Yucheng was at the Hong Kong office of another offshore law firm and also worked with Anderson Mori & Tomotsune in Japan (which included a secondment to Hengeler Mueller in Dusseldorf, Germany). He also completed a legal apprenticeship at The Legal Training and Research Institute of the Supreme Court of Japan.

Carol Liu

Carol Liu is a private investment funds partner of Kirkland & Ellis. She routinely advises and leads teams of lawyers advising global and Asian fund sponsors on structuring and forming private investment funds across a wide variety of strategies, including buyout, growth capital, venture capital, fund of funds, private credit fund, co-investment funds and separate managed accounts, in sectors across healthcare, TMT, consumer, the financial sector and others. Mikihito has advised global fund managers on their fund and investment structures for investment in Japan assets, including financial instruments, real estate and infrastructure assets. His client base consists of Japanese and global international financial institutes, investment management companies, and fund managers, including public and private real estate funds managers and private equity funds managers. Rajesh Appadoo

Rajesh is the Commercial Director – Fund Services in Intertrust Singapore. He has over 22 years’ experience in financial services, of which more than 14 years were in the Funds Industry. He specializes in fund administration and related services, and has extensive experience with various fund structures investing across asset classes.
In his current role, Rajesh provides clients with pragmatic and commercial solutions to complex issues while ensuring clients receive a high quality of service.
Rajesh started his fund administration journey in 2012. A Mauritian national, Rajesh relocated to Singapore in 2008 to assist an Asset Management Company expand its operations here. He has served as director on the Board of various Real Estate, Infrastructure and Private Equity funds in Singapore and was also a Board member for a number of client companies.


Louis Rabinowitz

Louis Rabinowitz is a capital markets partner in the Hong Kong office of Kirkland & Ellis. His practice focuses on capital markets transactions, representing issuers and underwriters in SEC-registered, Rule 144A and Regulation S offerings of high yield and investment grade debt, convertible bonds and equity securities. He has significant experience in high yield bond offerings. He is experienced in securities offerings by issuers based in Australia, Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Macau, the Philippines and Vietnam. His industry experience includes financial services, gaming, natural resources, real estate and renewable energy. He is ranked by Chambers as a leading international lawyer for India capital markets. He previously worked in Japan and is fluent in Japanese.

In 2022 – 2023, Louis was recognized as a “Notable Practitioner” for capital markets: debt by IFLR1000. He was also recommended as an “India Expertise Based Abroad” for capital markets by Chambers Asia Pacific.

Simon Yip

Simon Yip, CFA, FRM is a Team Lead of Institutional Treasury Management at DBS Bank (Hong Kong) Limited and he joined us in Sep 2017.

Mr Yip is responsible for client relationship management focusing on the fund industry. His team provides wide range of corporate banking products and services to asset managers and funds including private equites and hedge funds, mostly from Asia especially Greater China.

He has over 12 years of extensive experience in the banking industry. Mr Yip worked in different international banks prior to joining DBS.

Simon holds a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and is a CFA chartered holder and certified FRM.
